Greythorn has just released their annual North American IT Salary and Market Report and guess what? Cloud and Big Data jobs are among the highest paying. The report, which spans a wide range of verticals including Mobile, Security and Healthcare shows a generally positive outlook for the IT job market, but a closer look at workforce trends also reflects the rapidly changing dynamics affecting IT.

Niche expertise in up and coming areas is very much in demand, with contract roles on the upswing.  At least half the professionals surveyed are likely to transition organizations in the next 12 months. So what's driving them away, or what seems to be stimulating this change? Is it bonus, salaries or other benefits that motivates today's IT workforce? We don't want to give too much away.

The Greythorn Report provides a useful benchmark and point of reference for both employers and job seekers alike. It provides  good coverage of several dynamically growing job areas where information is scarce right now. Get the whole report here.
