The Cloud Business Case & Partnerships

This module looks at the basic elements that go into preparing a business case for Cloud comping and Managed Services, and expands on some of the principles covered in Strategic planning. Typically customized Case studies are used that are similar to the audience's industry / line of business as a backdrop for a guided walkthrough on typical estimation tools. We look at how to assess costs related to Infrastructure, Applications and other services and other indirect benefits as well like reduced training and support costs, obsolescence curves, etc.
The latter half of this model covers the essentials related to choosing partners from a fast growing industry, and some of the typical gotchas related to negotiation, procurement planning and the preparation of SLAs.
